Summary

Sixty-four-year-old Eisel Jane McCord's world is going along just fine until her husband of forty-three years, Jimmy, announces without warning that he's joining an archaeological dig in Peru—solo. Well, she decides, if he can make life-altering decisions and live so easily without her, she can do the same! She dusts off her teenage bucket list and realizes that she still hadn't checked off "buying a house" and "experiencing a great romance," since she'd done the one in tandem and, well, marriage hadn't produced the other.
