Summary

Maggie James is a smart, ambitious, and career driven woman. When she realizes she's stuck in a dead-end job, she dreams of opening her own branding company. After a brutal day at work, a one-night stand with a handsome Russian hockey player feels like just the escape she needs.

Vladi Volkov is the broody starting goalie for the Milwaukee Steel Riders, haunted by a painful past and a strict no-relationships rule. After getting benched, a strong pour of bourbon and a gorgeous woman seem like a solid game plan. But when he realizes Maggie isn't just another hookup, emotions he's worked hard to block come rushing to the surface panicking him into sneaking away in the middle of the night.
