Fake Wedding

Summary

Fake Wedding is When Harry Met Sally meets The Producers, a fun, edgy and unexpected enemies-to-lovers romance about two broke singles who pretend they’re getting married to cash in on the registry … only to find that playing a pretend couple creates very real problems.

Romi Winestock is an ambitious and quick-witted entrepreneur with a history of failed and slightly criminal business ideas. Greg Alexander is a handsome and charismatic ex-MLB player with an injured shoulder looking for a comeback.

The only singles left in their successful, inter-copulating NYC friend group, and disillusioned by spending the last of their money on the never-ending destination wedding circuit, both are broke and in desperate need of a get rich quick scheme.

Solution? Pretend like they’re getting married, plan a wedding so obnoxious no one RSVPs yes, cash in the registry, get fake divorced and live happily never after!

Problem? They can’t stand each other. Besides, no one’s going to believe they’re a real couple, much less getting married.

And even if they did, there’s no way a fake wedding could lead to true love … right?
