To Win Her Affections

Summary

Fitzwilliam Darcy has been given something he never expected: a second chance.

When Elizabeth Bennet visits Pemberley, Darcy quickly realizes that her opinion of him has changed. The resentment he encountered in Kent has softened, and though she has given him no reason to believe her feelings have altered as greatly as his own, Darcy needs no further encouragement.

He means to win her affections.

With Elizabeth remaining in Derbyshire, Darcy sets about proving that the man she rejected is not the man he wishes to be. As Elizabeth spends more time at Pemberley, renews her acquaintance with Georgiana, and comes to know Darcy without the misunderstandings that once stood between them, her feelings begin to change as well.

But just as Darcy's hopes appear within reach, news arrives that Lydia Bennet has disappeared with George Wickham.

The scandal threatens the entire Bennet family—and any future Darcy and Elizabeth might have hoped to share. Yet Darcy has already learned the cost of allowing pride and silence to govern his actions. This time, he has no intention of standing aside.

Darcy once believed Elizabeth's refusal had ended every hope of winning her. Now that hope has returned, he is determined not to lose it.
