Summary

After discovering that her kitten, Albert, was really a dragon in disguise, twelve-year-old Cassie sent Albert back into the dragon realm to reunite him with his family. But Cassie learns that she actually sent him back toward danger—and is horrified that Albert might be in even more trouble than before.

With the help of her best friend, Joe, her mom, and Miss Asher, Cassie sets off on a quest: find Albert, and find somewhere he'll be safe. But in the process, she learns more about a prophecy that's put him in danger—Albert, along with a second dragon, will overthrow a dragon king named Vayne and bring peace to the dragon world. Who is this second dragon? And how exactly can Albert save anyone when he's being hunted in two different dimensions?

Thanks to a newly discovered power, Cassie is able to bring Albert back to Mercy Grove, and, along with Joe, starts to investigate what is really going on with the dragon and human alliance. Albert leads them to the Midhurst Dragon Festival, where the key to so many answers lies in the Dragon Tales Bookstore and its mysterious owner.

With time running out, Cassie, Joe, and some surprising allies work to make sure Albert is safe once and for all.
