Summary

SARAH: Having everything in order and sticking to my routine is the way I cope with my past. It keeps the nightmares contained. I can't let them out. When I remember, they overtake my world.

Which is why I call my family for help when I'm stranded on the side of the road. I'm assured that the man coming to help me is a friend, someone my brother-in-law trusts. I didn't expect he would take my breath away . . . or chase away my demons.

Theo revs my engine, but I can't imagine that I'm enough for him. Saving me when I'm stranded isn't the only thing he does. He makes me feel whole. I can only hope my past won't taint my future and he won't break my heart.

When I get the phone call to help Sarah, it only takes one look into her eyes to know I'll do anything to get her to trust me. She's haunted and quiet, living in her head.
