Summary

In Book Three of the Brittany Meyer Novellas, Brittany’s magical powers are both devastating and beyond her control. The witch queen, however, wants to harness Brittany's growing powers by sending her away to be trained in the dark arts—and to force Brittany’s compliance, she imprisons Brittany’s aunt in a modern-day dungeon and threatens her life if Brittany doesn’t submit. The dungeon is guarded by demons and ghouls. Brittany can’t leave her aunt in such an awful place. In hope of rescuing her, she cobbles together a ragtag army of witches, vampires, and fairies. But her band of rebels cannot be trusted—the humans hate the vampires, the vampires hate the fairies, and the fairies hate everyone. Brittany has no more faith in them than she does in herself. If the rescue attempt fails, Brittany’s aunt will die and Brittany will be banished to who knows where. But if Brittany doesn’t try, her aunt will spend the rest of her days in the clutches of the evil queen. What’s a teenage witch to do?
