Summary

Charlotte Ida, a British expat living in Fujisawa, Japan, endures low-paid freelance work and a stale coexistence with her husband. The only thing keeping her together is her fourteen-year-old son, Jack.

One day, she begins to have stark, terrifying dreams about fire. Then, Jack disappears. Charlotte’s vision suddenly shifts backward four hundred years, and she sees everything through the eyes of someone else … including her missing son.

In this unfamiliar world, espionage, disguise, and murder are the tools of trade for Mitsu, a spy for warlord Oda Nobunaga.
