Summary

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is a brilliant young author whose books have been ALA Quick Picks for Young Adults. Hawksong was a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. In this sequel, the story is told from the point of view of Zane Cobriana, a snake shapeshifter. He and Danica, an avian shapeshifter, are now happily married and expecting a child that will represent the union of their two kingdoms. Trouble surfaces, though, when a powerful representative from another kingdom arrives and raises questions about how a child of mixed heritage will be received.
