Summary

Summary

A New York Times bestseller

Carl Weber is a New York Times best-selling author who's made a name for himself with wildly entertaining works marked by his trademark wit and storytelling panache. In The Choir Director, Bishop T.K. Wilson is banking on dynamic new choir director Anthony Mackie to reverse the failing congregation's fortunes. But while Anthony's got more than enough chops to raise a heavenly chorus, he's also got a weakness for the ladies that could make the Devil himself stand up and take notice.

Editorial Reviews

Editorial Reviews

“Drama in the church is a popular theme, but there’s no déjà vu when the author is Weber. Readers get an unobstructed view of the secrets, fears, elation, and sexual energy of the characters through first-person point of view and electrifying dialogue. The Choir Director is so magnetic, it draws readers into the plot and holds them captive until the last word. This is a masterfully written gem.” RT Book Reviews (4½ stars)
“Weber successfully explores the multiple megaproblems challenging this church family and scores again with a lively mix of church politics and bedroom follies.” Publishers Weekly
“Faith, hope, and fornication constitute the theme of this lusty tale as Weber’s sex-driven choir director meets the hormonally active ladies of the First Jamaican Church.”  Booklist
